LARCC Cancer Support Service in Westmeath is welcoming the decision.
A decision to cut the allowance for women who have undergone a mastectomy has been reversed.
Women were going to only be provided with enough for one specialised bra per year, but will now revert to the original funding.
The announcement made by the HSE that funding to women who has undergone a mastectomy was to be cut was not sanctioned.
Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly today confirmed this, and funding has been restored to provide women with two specialised bras and one swimming prosthesis per year.
