County Councils in the midlands spent €1.2m bringing vacant social homes back in to active use.
The figure is a 15% drop on the 2023 amount of €1.6m.
Last year the local authority in Laois spent 660 thousand euro bringing 60 homes back into use, Offaly spent €330,000 on 30 homes, while Westmeath County Council spent €264,000returning 24 vacant homes to the housing pool.
The National Voids programme spent a total of €28m in 2024.
