A bill intended to increase the supply of rental properties was due for Cabinet consideration today, with a planned register of Airbnb and other short-term lets unlikely to be in place before the peak summer tourism season.
Anyone offering short-term accommodation, such as Airbnb, will be required to have valid planning permission and to register with Fáilte Ireland.
The register which was scheduled to be operational by May 20th.
