Deaths that have occurred during childbirth across Ireland are being looked into for similarities.
An independent review into perinatal deaths would be a more fair approach rather than the review announced by the HSE.
The Health Service will launch a review into baby and mother deaths during childbirth across Ireland from 2021 to 2023.
Safer Births Ireland are also calling for a longer time frame of ten years in order to be better able to view trends in childbirth related deaths.
