The midlands hospitals will see 168 new acute beds between now and 2031.
Additional nurses and midwives are needed to staff the planned new hospital beds.
That's the call from the INMO, which says the 3,352 newly-announced acute beds are just one piece of the puzzle.
Of those, 168 will be provided for the three midlands hospitals.
The beds are to come on stream between now and 2031, in an effort to tackle the ongoing hospital overcrowding crisis.
