The Government are planning to deliver 300,000 homes by 2030.
The Irish government hasn't got "a hope in hell" of delivering 300,000 new homes by 2030, according to a Midlands North West MEP.
The incoming government has committed to an annual investment of €24bn to deliver the new housing within the next five years.
Independent Ireland rep, Ciaran Mullooly, says the only way to meet the target is to adopt the Austrian model - rent is based on construction, maintenance and financial costs rather than market demand.
