Over €11m has been granted nationally by the Department of Sport and Culture.
Over €1m in funding has been granted to sports bodies in the midlands from the Department of Sport.
Included in that is €24,000 specifically for women in sport.
Laois Sports Partnership will receive the highest amount in the region at over €363,000.
That's followed by Offaly at over €353,000 and Westmeath at €326,700.
Over €11m has been promised for funding of sports bodies across the country, to help with covering core costs.
