He has had cancer in both his lungs and brain.
Almost €33,000 has been raised for a midlands man and his family to support them while he battles with cancer.
Ballycumber's Pat Kelly has been fighting cancer in various parts of his body, including his brain, lungs and foot, for the past four years.
He was working as a chef prior to his diagnosis but has not been able to return to work since.
The fundraiser has a total goal of €40,000.
A benefit night will be held on February 17th, in the Ballycumber Community Centre featuring many musical acts including Simon Casey, Best Foot Forward and Ruaile Buaile.
Mr. Kelly says his dream is to get to 50 and have a big party:
