The town has been granted funding for new projects.
The launch of a new regeneration plan for an Offaly town is due to take place this evening.
Clara is one of the towns in the midlands selected for the brand new Town's Centre First initiative, along with Moate and Rathdowney, which sees each area given funding for the development of the town.
The aims of the plan include to deliver quality housing, the provision of physical and social infrastructure and to enhance the town's climate mitigation and adaptation.
The event will be held at The Star along River Street from 7pm to 9pm with refreshments provided.
