The garda being investigated has been suspended from duty.
Two people being held in the Midlands over a garda investigation into a missing drugs seizure have been released along with the serving garda at the centre of the investigation.
He was detained on Wednesday by members of the Anti-Corruption Unit, after a number of searches were carried out in relation to organised crime in the Eastern Region.
It's after drugs, believed to be worth €100,000, were taken from an evidence locker in a Garda station in January 2024.
The garda was immediately suspended from duty upon his release.
Five other people, who were also arrested, have all been now been released without charge.
Two of those people, a man in 30s and a woman in her 40s, were being held a garda station in the Midlands.
