The figures were released this morning by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre.
26 HSE workers in the Midlands area have contracted Coronavirus.
The HSE Health Protection Surveillance Centre is publishing the figures which show that two cases were associated with foreign travel, 18 hadn't been abroad recently and 6 couldn't be specified.
The eastern region is the worst area affected, accounting for 337 cases.
In total, 578 healthcare workers have fallen ill during the pandemic, with 74% having no history of foreign travel.
