Scientists have found the human brain works harder when playing sports against a machine.

A Midlands IT expert says "humans still need other humans" following a study of competition between people and robots.

Scientists found that the human brain works much harder when playing sports against a machine rather than another person.

Research from the University of Florida, found that, when people play against other people, their brains worked in unison, whereas when they played against machines the neurons in the brain were aligned in a very different way.
