Hot air balloons from all over world are taking to the skies in Offaly this week.
The 52nd annual Irish Hot Air Balloon Championships kicked off in Tullamore Park on Saturday, and will run until Friday.
It's the longest running consecutive "balloon meet" of its kind in the world, with challenges being set each day for competitors.
The event will see participants travel to the midlands from the USA, the UK and Germany.
Frank Meldon Director of the Balloon Championships says, they will need stable weather conditions each day to take the balloons up:
