Ballacolla's Padraic Kavanagh is undertaking the "Twins Thank You Tour" for his children Ellie and Páidí.
A Laois father is cycling 1,000 kilometres to raise money to thank the healthcare workers who "saved" his twins lives.
Padraic Kavanagh is cycling a 76 kilometre journey three times a week from his home in Ballacolla to Killenard where he works at a teacher next month.
It's in honour of his now three year old twins, Ellie and Páidí Kavanagh who were born at just 27 weeks old, and were diagnosed with various health conditions.
Páidí has supraventricular tachycardia meaning his heart can beat at a fast irregular pace, while Ellie has survived sepsis and emergency laser eye and bowel surgery.
All funds raised go torwards Children's Health Foundation and Friends of the Coombe, with his donation goal set at 10,000 euros.
