Club members are reportedly unhappy with the situation.
Members of an Offaly GAA club want to see action taken over a criminal conviction given to its treasurer last month.
Brian Collins was found guilty of assault causing harm after pleading not guilty to assaulting fellow Tullamore GAA member Peter Martin at the GAA centre in the town last year.
The club's chairperson, Tom Moloney says the club has received advice that it should avoid taking action over Mr Collins until the legal process has concluded.
The case will return for probation and restorative justice reports in February, while Mr Collins can choose to appeal the conviction after that.
He was previously suspended for his behaviour towards a linesman in a 2023 provincial club Championship match.
