Kildare South Deputy Cathal Berry met with Simon Harris yesterday, as part of the Higher Education Minister's bid to secure the vote of the Independent TDs.
Minister Harris has already secured the support of Roscommon Galway's Denis Naughten, while Laois Offaly rep Carol Nolan ruled out voting for him.
Deputy Berry is yet to commit to a decision, but says among his key concerns is providing financial support package for small businesses:
