Historically minimum wage jobs are now paying out more money, in a bid to attract staff, according to a midlands recruitment expert.

It comes as new research from the ESRI shows workers in the lower pay bracket are more likely to work for more than ten hours a day and have less job security.

It also found they will  work more unsociable hours including Saturdays and Sundays.
