New Campaign To Encourage Women Into Construction Industry

A new campaign aimed at encouraging women into careers in the construction industry is underway.

It comes as the latest figures show they only making up eight percent of the total workforce.

There's been a 76% increase in the number of women working in industry in the past two years.

But Offaly's Tom Parlon, head of the Construction Industry Federation, says that's not enough:

5,400 joined the industry since the end of 2017, bringing the total to 12,500.
