The BUSS programme will be rolled out in the primary school from January.
An Offaly school will be the first in the country to run a programme to help children develop sensorimotor skills.
St Joseph's National School in Tullamore will see the first year of the BUSS programme fully funded, with plans for fundraising in the second and third years.
The pilot aims to help children learn motor skills such as sitting properly, holding pencils, and how to handle bright lights and loud noises.
Some children arrive to school with underdeveloped sensorimotor abilities due to a variety of factors, and this can make it difficult to concentrate and learn.
