Questions Raised Over Continued Closure Of Diabetes Clinic In Mullingar Hospital

The vacancy for a dedicated nurse was first advertised in December 2019.

Questions are being raised as to why the the diabetes clinic in Mullingar Regional Hospital is still closed.

The vacancy for a dedicated nurse - which was first advertised in December 2019 - was due to be filled last November.

According to Longford-Westmeath TD Joe Flaherty, all outstanding appointments have been cancelled.

The Fianna Fáil rep says it's an unacceptable situation:

 

VACANCY: The uncertainty has been ongoing for 18 months since the dedicated diabetic nurse retired.
