Midlands outlets in Birr, Edenderry, and Rathdowney still set to go cashless
AIB says it's happy to engage with Taoiseach Michael Martin, following his call for the bank to reconsider its decision to make 70 of its branches cashless.
The midlands is set to be affected, with three outlets involved in the policy change; Edenderry, Rathdowney, and Birr.
In a statement, AIB says it will retain its 170 strong branch network in its entirety in communities across the country.
The bank says customers can lodge and withdraw money at their local Post Office, and the distance to a local post office from a repurposed bank branch is less than 350 metres.
