The Independent TD wants the government to expand rather than withdraw long covid support.
The Government is being urged to reconsider its decision to end special leave entitlement for frontline health workers who have contracted Covid-19.
The Department of Health and the HSE had agreed to extend special leave for up to 143 staff suffering from long covid symptoms for the previous two years.
Under new plans the workers will need to apply for sick leave despite having contracted the virus while serving on the frontline.
