The 135-year-old site of a former malting business in Laois is being converted into a series of apartment blocks.
Laois County Council has given approval for Maltings And Granary Ltd to build 85 apartments in one four-storey and two five-storey blocks in Portlaoise.
19 conditions have been attached to the project while the developer will pay the local authority over 76,000 euro in development charges.
Construction is expected to begin in the coming months.
