It comes after a shooting incident in Tullamore yesterday.
An Offaly councillor says they won't hesitate to evict council tenants who repeatedly engage in anti-social and violent behaviour.
It comes after shots were fired at a house in Arden View in Tullamore yesterday evening - an estate that's been scene of a number of public order incidents in recent times.
Fianna Fáil's Tony McCormack says the local authority has established a sub-committee on anti-social behaviour, to protect the "99 per cent of tenants" who are law-abiding.
He says those who consistently break their tenancy agreements must be sanctioned:
INCIDENT: Gardaí are confident of support of local residents in their investigation.
