A deer management unit has been introduced to the Midlands.
This action group will work to bring the wild deer population in the region down to a sustainable level.
FRS Co-Op have appointed local coordinators to oversee the operation with local hunters and hunting groups to lead dedicated Deer Management Units in hotspots areas.
The FRS Co-Op local coordinator for the midlands DMU will interact with local farmers and landowners identify current deer related issues and to assist in deer management by engaging with local hunters.
