Efforts To Boost Midlands Social Housing Stock With New 'Advance Turnkey Arrangement'

It applies to projects that have received planning permission but are not yet under construction.

Two local authorities in the midlands are hoping to boost their social housing stock using a new scheme from central government.

Laois and Westmeath are among 13 county councils in Ireland asking builders to enter into an 'advance turnkey arrangement'.

The cost will be covered by the Affordable Housing Fund, part of the recently published Housing For All Plan.

It'll apply to projects that have received planning permission but are not yet under construction, and is targeted at developments between 10 and 150 units in size.
