A Midlands MEP says farmers may be able to seek compensation for for the consequences of the Nature Restoration law, under a new Supreme Court ruling.
Independent Ireland MEP Ciaran Mullooly is welcoming a judgement that states the ESB must now pay compensation when installing power lines on farmer's land.
He's urging the Environment Minister to specify how the government will apply it to future land use policy like the Nature Restoration Law.
