It took over 24 hours to put out the blaze.
A fire that destroyed 600 bales of a hay and a shed in Westmeath is being treated as an arson attack.
The blaze broke out in The Derries area of Athlone in the early hours of last Monday, 11th July.

It took a number of units of both Westmeath and Offaly Fire Services over 24 hours to put out the blaze, with significant damage caused to the property.
No injuries were reported.
Gardaí continue to examine CCTV footage from the area and conduct interviews with local residents.
Anyone who was in The Derries area last Sunday night and may have noticed suspicious activity is asked to contact gardaí.
