Five men have been arrested.
Business premises in Offaly have been targeted by gardaí investigating social welfare fraud.
A multi-agency operation, led by the Garda National Immigration Bureau, carried out the search in the Tullamore area yesterday.
The operation also involved the Workplace Relations Commission and the Department of Social Protection.
22 separate business premises were subet to unannounced inspections and five men (aged from 38 to 47 years) have been arrested.
They've since been charged under immigration and employment permit offences and bailed to appear before Tullamore District Court next Wednesday.
