The latest funding announced for national roads shows the government are more concerned with climate issues rather than the National Development plan according to one Fine Gael Senator.
It's after it emerged just €200,000 would be made available for the N4 Mullingar to Longford (Roosky) Project.
Nearly €30 million has been allocated for the maintenance of midlands roads, and just under half a billion has been granted nationwide.
