Government Neglecting Rural Housing Crisis - Rural Independents

The group will table a motion in the Dáil next week.

The government is being accused of completely neglecting the rural dimension of the housing crisis.

The Rural Independent Group of TDs will table a motion in the Dáil next week, urging the government to publish new rural planning guidelines and address the huge backlog in An Bord Pleanála.

They're also calling for the Help to Buy scheme to be extended to second-hand homes, and for a €20,000 grant for first-time builders.
