Hopes Extra LEADER Funding Will Help Develop Wider Range Of Community Projects

It's being provided to bridge the gap between the two rounds of EU grants.

There's a hope that the transitional LEADER funding will encourage community groups to make larger applications once a new European Union programme is agreed. 

Laois Partnership finalised their final round of funding from the current programme yesterday, totaling €5.3 million in spending over the last five years. 

They've now been given €647,0000 to cover the first four months of 2021.

FUNDING: Offaly Local Development are now hoping to reach groups that were previously unsuccessful.
