The housing crisis is having a domino effect on the health of local communities in Westmeath.
That's according to Local Election Candidate for the Mullingar Kinnegad area, Frances Monahan, who says many people are living in crowded or substandard conditions.
She says mental illness and physical ailments can arise from such situations.
