The HSE is to resume the schools vaccination programme in the midlands.
The clarification was made by Minister of State with responsibility for Public Health Frank Feighan in the Dáil last night, after the issue was raised by Laois-Offaly Sinn Féin TD, Brian Stanley.
Concerns were raised after innoculations against measles, mumps, rubella, and cervical cancer for thousands of teenagers across Laois, Offaly and Westmeath were suspended - although the programme has been continuing everywhere else.
Minister Feighan says a recovery plan has now been put in place:
VACCINES: The roll-out seems to be continuing in other parts of the country.
