An investigation is underway after the deaths of two women in a hostel in Offaly.
Two men were also taken to Tullamore Regional Hospital in relation to the incident.
Gardai were called to Clonamore House hostel in Tullamore yesterday afternoon where they found a forty-four year old woman in an unresponsive state.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was taken for a post-mortem examination.
Earlier this morning, emergency services attended the same location to treat a nineteen year old woman.
She was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardai are are awaiting toxicology reports although it is thought that the deaths are not Covid-19 related.
While treating the teenager another man aged twenty three was removed from the scene after he became unresponsive and is said to be in a critical condition in Tullamore hospital this evening.
A second man in his early thirties was also taken for treatment, but his condition is not thought to be life threatening.
