The Fine Gael Presidential candidate says Jim Gavin’s departure from the race marks ‘a difficult day’ for Fianna Fail.
The former Dublin GAA manager withdrew his name last night, saying recent days have ‘given him cause to reflect’.
Heather Humphreys is wishing Jim Gavin well, but declined to say if she would now try and seek the endorsement of Fianna Fail.
