A midlands nurse says the lack of home care supports for people with dementia is a 'huge problem.'
The comments come from Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore with a speciality in older people, Alice Farrelly.
She says dementia appears to be more prevalent nowadays, as people live longer.
People with the condition can suffer memory loss, struggle with language use and experience sadness and loneliness.
