The dental scheme situation in Laois is the "most chronic" in the State, according to Sinn Féin.
Laois Offaly TD, Brian Stanley, claims there are no dentists in the county taking on new patients under the Dental Treatment Services Scheme.
He says the number of surgical extractions being carried out around the country shows preventative action is "not being taken".
