Less Money On Roads And More On Heritage, Says Westmeath Councillor

She's questioning the need for a €18 million budget for the county's roads.

Westmeath should spend less on roads and more on heritage is the call from one local councillor. 

The Green Party's Louise Heavin says the Lake County should have an archivist, a conservation officer and a biodiversity officer. 

She believes a relatively small amount of money spent in these areas would go a long way to increase the quality and range of services available to the public.
