A man was left waiting in the back of an ambulance for 12 hours at the Emergency Department in the Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar due to over-crowding issues.
That's according to one of the people protesting outside the Westmeath facility today over the closure of Navan Hospital A and E.
They are raising concerns about the knock on impact the closue of the Meath Emergency Department will have on neighbouring hospitals.
