The party has lost all three of its seats in the region.
The Green Party suffered a wipeout in the 2024 Local Elections in Laois, Offaly and Westmeath.
The party had three seats in the 2019-2024 term, with Mark Hackett representing Edenderry, Louise Heavin in Athlone and Hazel Smyth in Mullingar.
Despite running nine candidates in the midlands, none of them managed to secure a seat in the Local Elections.
Party leader Eamon Ryan previously said he felt the Greens would surprise people in the midlands.
Ms. Heavin says there was a lot of hostility towards the Green Party heading into this year's Local Elections.
She says she hopes the new councillors will continue to prioritise sustainability, despite an absence of Green representation:
