The Westmeath site was chosen by the State to test their accommodation plan.
It's expected the first Ukrainian families will be moved into modular homes at a former midlands army barracks in four weeks.
The Department of Integration says 14 of the 50 four-person units at Columb Barracks in Mullingar are expected to be ready by the third week of September.
The remaining 36 will be introduced on a "staged-basis" in a 6 to 8 week period afterwards.
The homes will have the capacity for 200 asylum seekers once the construction phase at the site is complete, which was chosen by the State as the first to test their temporary modular accommodation plan.
In a statement to Midlands 103, a spokesperson for the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth says:
"Assembly and installation of the units is continuing on site. It is expected that the first 14 units will be available for occupation by Ukrainian families in the third week of September with the remaining 36 units being delivered on a staged basis over a 6-8 week period thereafter."
