An Offaly town has the third highest rate of vacant commercial properties in the country.
Edenderry's rate of 25.2% is just behind Edgeworthstown in Longford, at 26.3%, and Ballybofey, in Donegal at 30.2%.
Offaly has the highest rate of commercial vacancies in Leinster, at 16.1%.
Laois has a rate of 15.2%, and Westmeath has the lowest rate of commercial vacancies in the region at 12.6%.
15 counties reported an increase in the vacancy rate, there was a 2.2% increase in Laois, while Offaly had a 0.7% jump and it was 0.6% in Westmeath between Q2 2021 and Q2 2022.
Mountmellick registered the largest year-on-year increase, with vacancy rates up by 6.6pp from 14.1%
