Various action groups across the Midlands are protesting large windfarm builds in their communities.
These include 'No to Seskin' on the Laois/Kilkenny border, 'Bellair Windfarm' in Offaly and the 'Delvin, Raharney and Ballivor Wind Group' in Westmeath.
The current guidelines have not been updated since 2006, with legislation last drafted in 2019.
