Laois County Council has announced details of grants and opportunities to support the development and presentation of creative and artistic projects in the county in 2023.

Laois County Council Arts Service will host two information sessions on upcoming grants and funding opportunities in 2023.
The first information session will take place in-person at the Dunamaise Arts Centre on Thursday 19th January 2023 at 7:00pm.
The second information session will take place online via Microsoft Teams on Thursday 26th January 2023 at 7:00pm. Please email

People who provide the correct information on their proposed activity and people who meet the artistic and financial criteria that has been set down by Laois County Council will be eligible for the grants. Maximum amount payable will not exceed €1000.
The Tyrone Guthrie Residency Bursary Awards 2023 will see support given to two Laois artists to spend one week working at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in County Monaghan.
The bursary is open to artists in all fields and is selected based on previous achievements and projects in hand.
The Artists in Schools Scheme 2023, grants are available for artists’ residencies in schools, which gives primary and secondary schools the opportunity to select and work with professional artists and explore new arts media.
Expressions of interest are invited from arts and culture groups and individuals interested in organising events to be included in the funding application process for Culture Night taking place on Friday 22nd September 2023.
Finally, expressions of interest are invited for Laois Arthouse Studios and Residential Studios in Stradbally.
Studios at €250 and residential studios at €250 per month, including utilities and waste disposal are available for a period of up to six months. Facilities include an exhibition space, kiln, garden, public library and WIFI.
