Midlands Junior Minister Calls For Full And Equal Access To STEM For Young Girls

Today is International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

The Junior Minister with responsibility for Research and Development is stressing the importance of the participation of women and girls in science.

Martin Heydon says they should be given full and equal access to STEM on International Day of Women and Girls in Science today.

The Kildare-South Fianna Fáil TD says internationally women still only account for 28 per cent of engineering graduates and 40 per cent of computer science and informatics graduates.
