Midlands Local Authorities No Longer Have Capacity To Provide Emergency Accommodation

It comes during a record time for homelessness with over 11,000 adults and children on the streets. 

Seventeen local authorities, which includes Offaly and Westmeath, no longer have the capacity to provide emergency accommodation.

The research, carried out by Sinn Féin, found five more councils had "extremely limited" capacity.

It's also expected emergency accommodation will be under increased pressure when the eviction ban comes to an end this month.
