A Midlands MEP is calling on the European Commission to fastrack a project to slash energy prices.
Ciaran Mullooly is pushing for the body to start a proposed supergrid which means electricity created with cheaper fuel could be interconnected to Ireland at a lower price.
He feels prices needs to be cut after hearing concerns of business owners in the Midlands struggling with rising bills.
