The number of completions rose by more than 3%.
The midlands was one of four regions in Ireland to see an increase in the number of home completions in the second quarter of the year.
The region saw a rise of 3.2% in the figures, when compared to the same period last year.
Westmeath saw the largest number of homes completed, at 180, while that figure is 130 in Laois, followed by 61 in Offaly.
Nationally, there was a fall in the number of home completions in the second quarter of the year.
Over 6, 800 houses and apartments were finished, according to the CSO.
That's down 5.4% on the same period last year.
