4 Schools across the region have been rewarded for taking part in the CPR 4 Schools Programme.
Four schools in the Midlands are being recognised for teaching their students life saving skills.
St. Fergals College in Laois, Athlone Community College in Westmeath, and both Oaklands Community College and Coláiste Naomh Cormac in Offaly, all recieved Irish Heart Foundation awards for their participation in the CPR 4 Schools Programme.
They were among 33 schools across Ireland presented with 63 awards as part of the national heart and stroke charity’s course.
A person’s chance of survival is doubled when CPR is started immediately.
